A house for a young couple with a newborn, three cats, and a dog, located beside the Notori River. The house faces southeast and follows the extended forms commonly found in the area, composed of multiple volumes arranged in a row. These are gathered under a single, gently curved roof that references the regional okiyane (raised roof) of Kyushu. Responding to local regulations governing materials, height, and roof pitch, the project seeks harmony with the townscape and natural environment of Akizuki, while making a modest attempt to explore new possibilities within a preservation area.
