Project Akizuki

This project aims to promote migration within the Akizuki junior high school district by creating a platform that directly connects those wanting to move to Akizuki with people looking to address their vacant properties. Akizuki has a large number of vacant houses, but limited options for sale or rent due to issues like inheritance, maintenance, family dynamics, and finances. Many potential migrants are deterred by the difficulty of finding suitable homes and work opportunities. By partnering with local organizations and residents with strong community ties, the project team has compiled a comprehensive database of vacant houses, assessing their condition individually. In addition to this, the team actively works to engage the community and attract more sellers and renters. Younger project members also serve as a point of contact for prospective migrants and curious visitors, introducing the town’s attractions and sharing information about available properties.
